Our Story
COLOUR12 was created under pressure
Not the kind you can explain.
The kind you learn to carry.
I was born in Hong Kong.
At 8 years old, I moved to the United States with my younger sister into a world that didn’t sound like me, didn’t look like me, and didn’t feel like home.
New language. New expectations. New silence.
I didn’t know how to process it.
So I adapted. I stayed quiet. I carried it.
Growing up, love wasn’t always said out loud.
It showed up in other ways. Being told to study harder.
To choose stability.
To become something that made sense to everyone else.
Not because they didn’t care—
But because that’s how they learned to care. I’m grateful for that, but somewhere in between expectations and reality.
You start to lose what you actually want. Over time, that pressure doesn’t disappear.
It just becomes part of you.
COLOUR12 was built from that feeling.
Not to fix it.
Not to speak for it.
But to create something you can wear that feels like control in the middle of it.
Oversized, so you have space.
Heavyweight, so you feel grounded.
Durable, because you learn to be.
This isn’t about standing out.
It’s about holding yourself together—
When everything around you feels unfamiliar, overwhelming, or too much.
Because some weight doesn’t leave.
You just learn how to wear it.
